Which organizations were you involved in?
Arab Student Association, Premedical Student Association, Student Ambassador Society, HEALTH Student Organization and Freshman Leadership Council.

Why did you choose Wichita State University?
I chose WSU because it is a great school and allowed me to pursue my dreams. I also wanted to be able to live at home while attending college, and WSU provided the perfect opportunity for that!

How did being involved with the Student Ambassador Society impact your time at WSU?
I had so much fun getting to share my school with prospective students! We have a great camaraderie in SAS, and it's been a really encouraging experience.

Which Wichita State faculty or staff member impacted you the most during your time here?
I have two, actually! The faculty and staff at WSU are absolutely incredible! Firstly, Nancy Krehbiel, my premedical studies advisor, was so supportive throughout my college career. She helped me to design my course schedule, prep for medical school applications, and sponsored the premedical student association, all while helping so many students!

Secondly, Dr. Nikki Keene Woods has been an incredible mentor for me. I started working on her research project during my freshman year, and it's been such a joy to be able to see the project advance so much during the three-and-a-half years I've been able to work on it! She also serves as my thesis advisor and has invested a lot of time into me, helping me succeed at WSU!

How do you feel about graduating?
I am so excited! I've enjoyed my time at WSU immensely and will look back on this time with very fond memories, but I'm ready for my next steps!

Which experience at Wichita State challenged you the most and what did you take away from that challenge?
I was challenged by balancing everything that I was involved in while studying for the MCAT. Time management definitely became a really important part of my routine.

What are your post-grad plans?
Attending medical school at the KU School of Medicine in Wichita.

What advice would you give to incoming students?
Get involved and ask for help before you need it! Getting ahead of the problems makes your life so much easier, and attending events helps to make new friends and, of course, enjoy your college experience.
