The Wyandotte Scholarship was established to support new, incoming WSU students who are originally from Wyandotte county. The scholarship is funded by the Virginia Smith Family Charitable Trust, and overseen by the Wichita State Foundation.
Established in 2018, this scholarship will award multiple $500 to $1,000 scholarships to students chosen by the selection committee. The awards will be one-time scholarships distributed over the 2019-20 academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be admitted as new freshmen or transfer students to WSU for fall 2019
- Applicants must have their permanent mailing address in Wyandotte County
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA or better; and / or a minimum ACT composite score of 22 or better
Deadline
Applicants must complete and submit their application by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1. All applicants, including the selected recipients, will be contacted by March 1.
