Jardine Hall

Building Info

First called 'Administration Hall' when it was constructed in 1930, Jardine Hall provided offices for the president, registrar, and meeting rooms for student clubs and organizations, and classrooms and faculty offices for a variety of disciplines. Jardine Hall was the second building completed by the Municipal University of Wichita. The resolution to change the name to Jardine Hall, after former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and outgoing University of Wichita President William M. Jardine, was passed July 1, 1949 but was inadvertently not reported until after Jardine's death in 1955.
