Join us as we take a tour around the world in tea! Starting with China, we will discuss the history and techniques of growing teas and drink examples from this region. Next, we will go through the steps in a Japanese tea ceremony to taste the popular matcha tea. Moving on to South Korea, we will learn about the Korean tea festivals and drink a special Korean ginger tea! We will also discuss the importance of tea in Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco and practice serving tea like a proper tea shop worker in the souks of Marrakesh! A tea adventure would not be complete without discussing the English empire and its role in introducing tea to the world, including India and the United States. Finally, we will journey to South America to learn how to prepare and drink yerba mate like a pro!
