National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, by celebrating the histories, culture and contributions of those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, Caribbean, Central America, and South America. In addition, the heritage month honors five of our Central American neighbors who celebrate their independence in September.
