Gathering data, creating and testing hypotheses, and making data-based decisions are all things some students learn in their programs of study; but these habits can have value well beyond the classroom and laboratory. In fact, these "scientific habits of mind" can support each of us in our personal lives as well. This practical session will introduce the idea of applying the scientific method to life's daily questions and provide you with some practical advice about how to think like a research to improve your own life.
