Each spring, the WSU Graduate School holds a university-wide research symposium, the purpose of which is to:

• Spread awareness on campus about the state-of-the-art research and scholarly projects being conducted on campus
• Showcase innovative graduate research to the wider community
• Highlight the participation of graduate students in research/projects and recognize their contributions of their fields
• Recognize research mentoring of the faculty advisors
• Provide a forum for graduate students to practice presentation skills in research and scholarly activities
