He currently lives in New York, where he serves as chief curator at El Museo del Barrio. He will present an overview of Indigenous themes, signifiers, and practices in Brazilian art, from the modern avant-gardes and into the 21st century. This talk is presented in conjunction with Zahy Tentehar’s The Civilized, on display in the Amsden Gallery this fall.
