Dr. Courtney Long is an active saxophonist, educator, and clinician, performing as a soloist and with various ensembles such as the Colorado Symphony, Wichita Symphony Orchestra, and the Wichita Wind Symphony. She has also played and presented at the North American Saxophone Alliance Regional and National Conferences several times. Long holds a Doctor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Northern Colorado in Saxophone Performance with a secondary emphasis in Music Theory.
