Wichita State’s French language program is once again hosting its annual French Immersion Day called “Allons-à-WSU!” (Let’s go to WSU!) for local high school students studying French. This immersion day will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 on the main WSU campus.

Approximately 200 students from 12 Wichita and Wichita-area high schools are expected, according to organizer Brigitte Roussel, associate professor of French. Students ranging from French I to French IV levels will compete in various activities and games throughout the day while they are on campus.

Planned activities include:

• Pétanque (Bocce)
• Manie Musicale (Music Mania)
• Pictionnaire (Pictionary)
• Chasse au Trésor (Scavenger Hunt)

WSU French students will serve as proctors. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners of the activities.

Representatives from Wichita State Undergraduate Admissions and Study Abroad will address the large group and distribute fliers during the welcome at the beginning of the day.
