Please join the World Trade Council of Wichita on Nov. 2, 2023 at the Wichita Country Club while we discuss, "Is China a National Security Threat and How does this Affect Business?"
Acknowledging the interconnectedness of national security and business concerns, three expert panelists will address our topic from diverse perspectives:
- Donald E. McClure, colonel in the US Air Force and an expert on grand strategy, will put the issues in perspective;
- David Graff, an expert from Kansas State on East Asian military history, will explain how Chinese military history has affected its present stance (including its increasingly bellicose posture towards Taiwan); and
- Usha Haley, an expert from Wichita State on China strategies, will draw on her recently completed NSF grant to highlight how Chinese investments in US shale gas have affected our development of green and efficient technologies in the energy sector.
All panelists will address the implications of current events for business and society.
Reservations for the program (Members - $45/ Non-Members - $55) include a networking hour with complimentary wine reception, and a three-course sit-down dinner. We are capping the reservations at 65 people. No walk-ins, please. For more details, please visit https://lnkd.in/etdBtHRw
