As a student at Wichita State University, Warren Kim showcased his musical talents extensively. Highlights include a notable performance of Tchaikovsky's first piano concerto with the WSU Symphony Orchestra, performing with a chamber group that performed in various states, and achieving success in competitions such as the Konrad Wolff-Bing Chamber Music Competition.

Dr. Kim's collaborative ventures are equally impressive, featuring performances with renowned figures like Dr. Nicholas Smith at the International Horn Festival in Illinois, where they premiered Dr. Walter Mays's composition. He also collaborated with acclaimed violinist Dr. Chee-Yun Kim and engaged in a four-hand piano performance with Dr. Julie Bees, broadcasted on Kansas KWCH-TV.

In 2021, Dr. Kim served as an artist-in-residence at the Really Spicy Opera Aria Institute in Minnesota and earned a full scholarship to participate as a collaborative pianist at the Miami Music Festival. His performances have spanned across North America and Eastern Asia, and he was recently invited by the Karis Orchestra Program in South Korea to present a recital.
