Location: Rhatigan Student Center, Beggs Ballroom (third floor)

The Department of Women’s, Ethnicity and Intersectional Studies (WEIS), in sponsorship with the Center for Women's Studies, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will convene the ninth annual Diverse Women’s Summit, with events scheduled starting 9 a.m. Thursday, March 7 and continuing on Friday, March 8. 

The event is free and open to the public.

The following is the list of scheduled events for March 7:

  • Student Showcase: 9 a.m.-noon. Presentations of papers, art, posters and other projects by students and other participants.
  • Village Square Discussion: 1-4:15 p.m.
  • International Women’s Day Keynote Speech: 7-8:30 p.m. Delivered by Dr. Lindsey Churchill, Professor of History and Geography, University of Central Oklahoma, the speech will discuss, "From Incels to Only Fans: Radicalization, Liberation, Sexuality, and Ambiguity Online and Beyond."
