Join us for an exciting season with the WSU Opera Theater! We are holding auditions for the 2024-2025 season and invite all current WSU students to showcase their talent.

Audition Information?

• Open to All Students: Auditions are open to all current WSU students, regardless of major or academic level.
• Prepare Your Piece: Select and memorize one opera aria (preferably in English). An art song in English is also acceptable. Please note that Music Theater repertoire is not permitted for the audition.
  • Professional Support: A pianist will be provided for your audition.
• Contact for Newcomers: Any student who did not participate in WSU Opera Theater in the 2023-2024 season should contact Professor Alan Held, director of WSU Opera Theater, for additional information (Alan.held@Wichita.edu).

• Scenes and Songs Performance: October 4
• World Premiere of "December Night": November 5 and 8
• Annual “Autumn Arias” Concert: November 25
• Full Production of Menotti’s "The Consul": April 4 and 6
