Guest artists James Barger, Evgeny Zvonnikov, and Sarah Rushing, known collectively as TripTych, are excited to present an engaging and varied program of repertoire for the unique instrumentation of saxophone, violin, and piano. The program consists of works by five living composers and offers something for everyone, from the highly accessible to the more philosophical. Even lovers of French romanticism will find something to enjoy in Algerian composer Marc Eychenne’s Cantilène et Danse – which could be best described as, “…if Fauré wrote for saxophone, violin, and piano….”

Formed in the Spring 2022 semester, Triptych has since presented recitals throughout Texas and beyond, including an appearance at the 2023 International Music by Women Festival. Comprised of Texas A&M University faculty James Barger, Associate Professor of Saxophone; Evgeny Zvonnikov, Harrington Lecturer in Violin; and Sarah Rushing, Assistant Professor of Piano, the ensemble enjoys connecting with students and audiences through innovative programming, master classes, and workshops.

WSU Students can request their free student tickets in advance by going to the Fine Arts Box Office located in Duerksen Fine Arts Center during operating hours. Must show WSU student ID.
