Join us for a morning filled with wisdom and creativity that will help you on your acedemic journey! This new fall program will replace Acdemic Convocation and will focus on storytelling and themes around the common read "My Broken Language," written by Quiara Alegria Hudes and used in First-Year Seminar.

Our featured speaker is Armando Minjarez, a Mexican-born interdisciplinary artist, designer, and community organizer. They've focused on community-based art practice for the past decade, often guided by themes of displacement, collaboration, and empowerment of racialized people in the United States. Armando, in collaboration with GLeo, developed the Duerksen Amphitheather Mural Project, Foward Together | Adelante Juntos

Following the event, don't miss the chance to grab lunch and continue the conversation!
