Nick Knobbe graduated in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and now works as a Software Engineer at OutSystems. In his current role, he designs and builds software that helps other developers create and deploy applications quickly and efficiently, supporting teams who rely on streamlined development tools. Before moving into his full-time position, Nick worked as a Software Developer at Textron Aviation through Ennovar.
He credits that experience with helping him build the technical foundation and professional connections needed to move forward in his career. “Ennovar allowed me to meet great people in my desired industry,” he shared. “It allowed me to get the programming experience and opportunities I needed for my career. I am grateful for that.”
Looking back, Nick said one of the most valuable aspects of Ennovar was the supportive environment and flexibility it offered. The ability to balance work and school while gaining hands-on development experience helped him grow without losing focus on his academic goals. He also appreciated the kindness and encouragement he received from Ennovar staff along the way.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys creative technical hobbies like game development and playing guitar. For current Ennovar students, he offered this advice: “I had to realize that the stress you'll feel from procrastinating is more detrimental than the way you'll feel when forcing yourself to do things earlier. Empathize with yourself, but do things in such a way that your future self will thank you.”
