Alex Harms graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Computer Science and now works as a System Administrator II with Oracle Health. In his current role, he supports federal clients within Oracle’s Health Hosting department, helping manage and maintain the servers and infrastructure behind hospital systems. His work plays a key role in keeping critical healthcare technology running smoothly.
Before stepping into his full-time position, Alex gained experience through Ennovar in multiple roles, including system administration at Textron Aviation and working on the IT helpdesk at Boeing.
He credits those opportunities with helping him build a strong foundation. “Ennovar put me into a position where I could learn real world processes and industry practices,” he said. “They enabled me to develop as a professional and transfer the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a global enterprise.”

One of the most impactful parts of Alex’s experience was the support he received along the way. “One of my favorite things about Ennovar is the fact that the staff really truly want you to succeed and grow,” he shared. He noted that while his early role on the help desk gave him valuable experience, it wasn’t exactly where he wanted to end up. With help from Ennovar staff, he was able to transition into a role that better aligned with his goals, which was an opportunity that ultimately led to his current career path. Outside of work, Alex is highly involved in bowling. He competed collegiately for Wichita State and has participated in regional professional tournaments. He has bowled four perfect 300 games.
For current Ennovar students, Alex emphasizes the importance of initiative. “Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask your contacts about opportunities,” he said. “It may not always work out, but that initiative will reflect on your character and leave a lasting impression.” He encourages students to keep pushing themselves to learn and grow, even if it means stepping outside of their comfort zone.
