Michael Boydo graduated in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. During his time with Ennovar, he worked as a Failure Analysis Intern at Integra Technologies, gaining industry experience before graduation. Today, Michael is an Electrical Engineer with Mortenson, working on the Darden Clean Energy Project in Fresno County, California. In his current role, Michael works with the Battery Energy Storage System team, where he leads certain project scopes and helps ensure work is tracked and completed according to design. He also supports other team members and project needs as they arise.

Michael credits his time with Ennovar with helping him prepare for opportunities throughout college and beyond. “Ennovar helped me get experience in the industry which ultimately helped me get my first and second internships and how to properly stay on top of job searching for post graduation.”

The connections he made along the way were another important part of his experience. “My favorite parts of Ennovar was the people I met on the way, I ended up sharing classes with a lot of them which helped when I needed help understanding material.”

His career has already taken him beyond Wichita, with Mortenson flying him out to California for his current project. Outside of engineering, Michael enjoys playing soccer and gardening.

Looking back at the transition from student to full-time engineer, Michael points to a few things that made a difference for him: “Make connections, build that resume, get confident in interviews. These things really do make a difference.”
