Jenny Ho is a Cybersecurity major graduating in Fall 2026 and currently works as a Tier 1 SOC Analyst. In her role, she monitors and triages security alerts, investigates potential threats, validates phishing reports, and analyzes endpoint activity. She also works closely with Tier 2 analysts, gaining deeper exposure to incident response workflows and security tools like SIEM platforms. The role has given her the opportunity to apply what she’s learned in a real-world environment while continuing to build strong analytical and investigative skills.
Jenny shared that Ennovar played a major role in shaping her path. “Ennovar truly changed the trajectory of my career,” she said. “It was the bridge between learning about cybersecurity in the classroom and actually stepping into the field with confidence.” She explained that the experience helped her move beyond theory and understand how her knowledge applies in practice. “Personally, it challenged me to grow. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone, strengthened my confidence, and helped me realize that I truly belonged in this industry.”
Her interest in cybersecurity developed over time as she explored different areas of technology. She found herself drawn to the challenge and constant evolution of the field
“Cybersecurity stood out to me because of how dynamic and intellectually engaging it is,” she shared, noting that the combination of technical problem-solving and real-world impact ultimately led her to fully commit to the field.
Looking ahead, Jenny plans to build her career in Governance, Risk, and Compliance, with an interest in roles focused on risk assessment, compliance frameworks, and strengthening organizational security from a strategic level. Reflecting on her time with Ennovar, she highlighted the value of mentorship and hands-on learning. “It created an environment where I could ask questions, gain real-world exposure, and build meaningful professional relationships,” she said.
Outside of work and school, Jenny enjoys exploring new restaurants and experiences, always open to trying something new, whether it’s discovering a new spot around town or a spontaneous late-night ice cream run.
