About the Exhibit
Wichita State University is celebrating its 125th Anniversary and One Two Five aims to capture the creativity and talent of Shocker Artists - the past and the present. Any current student, faculty, staff or alumni may submit a work of art measuring 12 x 12 inches. Blank 12x12 canvases are available to students, free of charge, while supplies last.
ONE Students, faculty, staff and alumni of Wichita State are invited to submit one work, measuring one foot by one foot, to be featured in the exhibit “One Two Five”. The exhibit will showcase the works of Shocker artists, new and experienced, spanning generations.
TWO "One Two Five" will be on display in the Cadman Art Gallery's two exhibit spaces. The interior gallery serves as a learning center for current Wichita State students where they learn the art of curating and installing their own exhibits. The Looking Glass, which surrounds the outer area of the Cadman, sits at the center of the Rhatigan Student Center. This glass enclosed gallery showcases works from students, faculty, staff, alumni and community and serves to enhance art appreciation to the thousands of visitors who enter the RSC.
FIVE Artists may submit one work in one of five categories -- drawing, mixed-media, painting, print, and relief.
