Amanda has made the Dean’s Honor Roll every semester.  She is involved in National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Ambassadors for Diversity and Inclusion, and Public Relations Student Society of America. She is a recipient of the Rudd Foundation Scholarship and Timothy P. O’Shaughnessy Lifelong Learning Scholarship. During her collegiate career, she hopes to gain valuable insights and experiences she can apply to future roles in marketing, communications, and public service. Her interests include reading, writing, and photography. Amanda hopes to inspire people to make a difference wherever they can whether that's in the classroom, in a professional setting, throughout the community, etc. Amanda loves long-term volunteer experiences. She has served as the Gary Engels Memorial 5K committee chairperson for two consecutive terms and collaboratively raised over $7,000. Currently, she serves on the 2020-2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s  walk planning and marketing committees. Although her main responsibilities include graphic design and photography, she also gets to be involved with event logistics, outreach, fundraising, and overall community engagement.  Amanda recently began marketing internships with Amazon and the Rudd Foundation. This summer, she completed a fellowship with the Kansas-based, Storytime Village Inc. Amanda aspires to work for a Fortune 500 company in marketing or communication.

What Amanda finds to be distinctly valuable about the Widener Global Leaders Program is the integration of liberal arts, business, and fine arts to formulate a curriculum centered around diversity, inclusivity, culture, and personal/professional development. She is excited to explore each of the different emphasis areas of the program alongside her cohort.

Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to attend graduate school to pursue a Master of Arts in Communication.  Amanda hopes to work for an innovative company like Cargill, Koch Industries, Amazon, and Textron Aviation in either the marketing or communication department. Her long-term goal is to become the Chief Marketing Officer or Chief Communications Officer of a company she values and believes in. She currently wants to explore more corporate advertising/marketing internship opportunities where she can collaborate on campaign development and coordinating event logistics.
