Overview

Anna brings more than a decade of work supporting environmental nonprofits to advance their mission through program development, fundraising, advocacy, and strategic communications. Most recently, Anna worked as a consultant to environmental organizations, helping amplify their stories, increase awareness about important environmental issues, and advocate for policy change. Before returning to her home state of Kansas, she worked as the Director of Policy at an environmental justice nonprofit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In that role, Anna helped community members leverage resources to align investments with their community vision and implement beautification projects on vacant and overgrown lots.

Anna is excited about the work of the Heartland EJ Center because of the immense need to remove barriers to funding opportunities that promote local solutions and redistribute wealth to environmental justice communities.

Anna was raised in central Kansas and currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with her husband, two children, and two dogs. When she’s not working, she loves hiking, drinking coffee, and going on adventures with her kids.
