Overview

Jill Fisher serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for Fairmount College. She also serves as the director for the Kansas Junior Academy of Science and Kansas Science Olympiad. She is an officer with the Kansas Academy of Science, serving as its affiliate representative to the American Association for the Advancement of Science.  

She graduated from Tabor College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and certification in Secondary Education – Science. Since graduating, Jill has worked in cellulosic ethanol research and pharmaceutical quality control, as well as taught high school anatomy and physiology and chemistry. She first joined Wichita State University in 2014 by promoting STEM to area preK-12 students through the Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education before transitioning to her current role in the summer of 2020.

In her free time Jill enjoys eating local, volunteering with the local music theatre, roadtripping in the Midwest, and playing board games with her nieces and nephews.
