Overview
Barb Myers has been the Administrative Specialist at the School of Art, Design and
Creative Industries since February 2025.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2012; a Master of Arts
in 2020 in History/Anthropology/Public Administration; and a Bachelor of Arts in General
Studies-Anthropology in 2026. Barb founded the "Friends of the Wichita Pioneers" in
2016, a local nonprofit that preserves Highland Cemetery, Wichita's oldest cemetery.
From 2021-2024, she lived in North Carolina where she worked at the State Office of
Archaeology and later at the Utilities Commission as the Records Manager. As a Cemetery
Historian, she helms "Myers Cemetery Research and Restoration, LLC" and enjoys traveling
all over the country to study types of cemeteries and funerary customs. in her free
time.
