Overview

Abbey Evans is a WSU Fall 2022 graduate with a BFA in Design and Technical Theatre and has recently received her cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell Wichita. She is thrilled to be returning to WSU to teach her favorite class, Stage Makeup. She hopes to open up the world of makeup and what it can do for future graduates. She has been out of the theatre world for the last year and a half due to school but is ready to get back to her roots this year!

Abbey and her husband Seth, just bought their first home and are ready to make it their own with their two cats! In her free time she likes to play video and board games with friends, spend time with Seth (husband), Astoria (cat), and Deimos (cat), cross stitch and crochet, garden, practice sfx and glam makeups, and learn new ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Currently Abbey is a receptionist with Downing and Lahey Mortuary with hopes to use her cosmetology license to do hair and makeup for the deceased. Post school she is also working on building up her portfolio and hopes to break into the wedding industry and film industry as a hair and makeup artist. With this new career as an adjunct for Stage Makeup she looks forward to meeting the future professionals of WSU and helping them on the path to their dream career!
