Overview

Jared Shaw is the Vice President of Clinical Data Science for HCA Healthcare’s Continental Division, where he leads data science strategy and execution across a diverse network of healthcare facilities. His scope includes eight acute care hospitals, two pediatric hospitals, and two rehabilitation hospitals - among them Wichita’s Wesley Medical Center. In this role, he partners closely with clinical and executive leadership to translate complex data into meaningful insights that support high-quality patient care and drive organizational performance.

With deep expertise in regulatory measurement and reporting, Jared plays a key role in shaping strategy for regulatory performance improvement. He actively contributes to performance improvement initiatives and helps inform executive decision-making through data-driven analysis. Known for his ability to connect strategy with execution, he is passionate about identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, enhance efficiency, and build capabilities through the thoughtful application of data, analytics, and technology. His work has also extended into research, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the field.

Jared brings a forward-looking perspective on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare, recognizing their potential to transform how care is delivered and measured. A Kansas native, he earned his Bachelor of Science from Emporia State University and his MBA from Western Governors University. He resides in Wichita with his family, where they are active members of the community, volunteering regularly at The Lord’s Diner. Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time with family and friends, along with hiking and travel.
