Overview
Boden joined Wichita State after serving almost five years as general counsel for a private, nonprofit college operated by Mission Group Kansas Inc. in Overland Park. Prior to working in-house, Boden represented public entities and private businesses, including top Fortune 500 clients, as a partner at the Kutak Rock LLP law firm in Wichita. Over the years, Boden has specialized in a number of different practice areas including education, employment, business, criminal and constitutional law.
Boden received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Fort Hays State University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.

About the role
The General Counsel is the University’s chief legal officer. The General Counsel has executive responsibility for handling all legal matters involving the University, University Administration and University employees and serves as the University’s liaison with the state Attorney General’s Office.
