Sophomore: Bonta settled in nicely during his sophomore year on the Shocker Bowling team, averaging 219 over 51 games. He had six top ten finishes in nine events, earning All Tournament Team honors twice. At the end of the season, Bonta was named to the NCBCA All American Second Team. Bonta was a big part of the 2023 National Championship team bowling in the three spot.
Freshman: Bonta joined the Shocker Bowling team in the fall of 2021 coming off an impressive high school career in Wichita. Bonta competed in nine events, averaging 209 over 28 games. Bonta was part of the 2022 ITC Runner Up team.
Personal: Bonta is the son of Kelly and Christy Bonta of Wichita, Kan. Bonta is a 2-time KSHAA State Champion with the Northwest High School bowling team. He also won the individual state championship title in his senior year, while finishing second the three years prior. Bonta earned a spot on Junior Team USA in 2021 and 2022 by his finishes at the Junior Gold Championships. Bonta owns twelve 300 games to his name and three 800 series.
