Freshman: Calderon competed in three events, averaging 213 for 12 games in his freshman year campaign. His year was highlighted by a top 10 finish at the Mid States Championships. He was named an NCBCA Scholar Athlete at the end of the year. During the season, Calderon traveled back home to Colombia to compete in the Colombian Team Trials, where he became the U21 Colombian Team Trials Champion and earned a spot on Junior Team Colombia for 2023.

Personal: Calderon is the son of Ana Cordoba and Mauricio Calderon of Wichita, Kan. Calderon attended Kapaun Mc. Carmel Catholic High School in Wichita, Kan. and won the team state title at the KSHAA State Championships his senior year. Calderon, who has citizenship in Colombia, has competed for Junior Team Colombia in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 and has won a variety of medals in various international competition.
