Sophomore: For Goebel’s first year at Wichita State, he made the developmental team after tryouts. He was able to secure a Top 10 placement and a Top 25 placement for the season. His Top 10 was at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge where he averaged 212 for 6 games. His Top 25 placement was at SWIBC III where he finished 13th with a 186 average for 5 games. His season's overall average was 193 for 22 games.
Junior: After tryouts for his second year, he was able to make the select team. This season he obtained his first All Tournament Team and also had a Top 10 placement. His ATT was at the Mid States Championships where he placed 5th carrying a 212 average for 6 games. His Top 10 placement was at SWIBC I where he placed 6th with a 203 average for 5 games, just falling short of All Tournament Team. For this season, Goebel held a 199 average for 21 games.
Senior: As a senior, Goebel was preselected for the men's team, being able to gain more experience. For this season, he has finished with an average of 169 for 13 games.
Before WSU: Before coming to Wichita State to bowl, Goebel had been selected as High School Bowler of the Year in 2017. Also in 2017, he took 1st in the Rock’s Dugout League Tournament and made the High School Kansas All-State 2nd Team. At Junior Gold in 2018 in the U20B division, he placed 118th. Goebel is also a Youth Masters Runner-Up.
