Overview
Michelle Geesaman is one of the social services case manager & advocate within Student Outreach & Support at Wichita State University. Michelle graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002. Her passion is to see students grow and heal in all areas of their lives. Over the years, Michelle’s experiences have been case management and working with university students. She has worked with children in the foster care system in Kansas and at a voluntarily placed children’s home in Texas. She was also a support coordinator for children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Louisiana. Furthermore, Michelle was a Resident Assistant at University of Kansas and was on staff of a student organization, working with students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Georgia Southern University, Louisiana State University, and the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, México. She is excited for this opportunity to be a part of the CARE Team; allowing her to combine her experiences in case management and working with university students to advocate for the students at Wichita State University. Michelle enjoys traveling, learning about and experiencing other cultures, and hanging out with family and friends.
