Courtney Lockhart

Overview

Courtney Lockhart serves as the Lead Social Services Case Manager and Advocate within Student Outreach & Support at Wichita State University. A proud Shocker, Courtney earned his Associate of Arts (2004), Bachelor of Arts (2006), Bachelor of General Studies (2010), and Master of Counseling in Higher Education (2023) from WSU. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Leadership and remains deeply committed to giving back to the community that has shaped his personal and professional journey.

 Since 2003, Courtney has worked in a variety of roles across campus, including supporting international student educational journeys in International Education and leading a dedicated team in Financial Aid. Today, as one of the SOS team leaders, he is focused on ensuring students’ basic needs are met while promoting their overall wellness and academic success. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys listening to and making music with his trumpet, traveling and making new memories with his family, and connecting with his host family in Germany to engage in international experiences while planning future visits abroad.
