Overview
Chris Wiebe serves as the Assistant Director of Educational Engagement in Housing and Residence Life at Wichita State University. He has held this role for the past four years, overseeing the Living Learning Communities program, managing two housing scholarships, and supporting student success by serving as an adjunct professor who teaches two first-year seminar courses and a study abroad course.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management and Marketing from Wichita State University, where he also began his housing journey as a Resident Assistant, serving for 6 years. He later completed his Master of Science in Higher Education Student Affairs at Fort Hays State University while working as a graduate staff member in their housing department. After graduate school, Chris spent four years at the University of Northern Iowa as a Residence Life Coordinator, gaining valuable experience in student support, community development, and residence hall management.
When the opportunity arose to return to his alma mater, Chris was excited to come back home to Wichita State and continue serving the student community that helped shape his own college experience. During his time at Wichita State University, Chris has grown and developed his leadership skills by attending the Kansas Leadership Center and the Disney Leadership Institute.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with friends and family and caring for his two cats, Winnie and Hazel. Chris is also a Disney Adult and loves visiting the Disney Parks whenever he can.
