Bio
Sania Mohib serves as the Leadership and Engagement Director for the 69th Session of the Student Government Association. Director Mohib joined SGA because she wanted to actively involved in the lives of students at Wichita State University and make a positive impact on their college experience. Sania Mohib wants students to feel heard, supported and like they have someone they can turn to when they need help or want to share and idea. Director Mohib also wants to help build a stronger sense of community at Wichita State. College is such a short yet important part of life, and she believes students should have opportunities to make friends, have fun, try new things and create memories. Through SGA, Director Mohib hopes to continue connecting with students, create meaningful opportunities, and help make Wichita State a place where student feel they truly belong.
Goal
Director Mohib's main goals for this Session are to:
- Have 20 active Freshman Leadership Council (FLC) members who are excited to be involved and contribute throughout the session.
- Help FLC members grow as leaders by providing professional development workshops, leadership activities, and hands-on experiences that can be used beyond FLC
- Increase student engagement and build a stronger sense of community by creating events and initiatives with FLC that students actually want to attend and participate in.
- Make FLC a welcoming and supportive community where members can make friends, meet new people and feel comfortable sharing their ideas.
- Encourage FLC members to become more involved in SGA and help them understand the different opportunities available to them.
- Build meaningful relationships with FLC members by learning from their experiences, listening to their ideas, and creating a positive experience.
