Overview
Iván Castillo serves as a Student Programs Coordinator for the Office of Student Engagement & Belonging at Wichita State University. In this role, Iván creates meaningful, sustainable, and transformative programs and experiences for Hispanic/Latine and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) identifying students, a few special projects within this portion of his role are cordinating the campus wide Hispanic Heritage Month and InspirAsian Month celebrations. While in this role, he also serves as a specialized advisor, focusing on supporting the social and personal needs of students throughout their time at Wichita State. Additionally, he serves as the staff advisor for the Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO), Asian Student Conference (ASC), and Ambassadors for Diversity & Inclusion (ADI). Along with this, Iván is the lead facilitator for Latinos Lead and APIDA Ignite, two support groups through the office of Student Engagement & Belonging that focus on developing professional, social, and cultural skills that help students transition to life after college.
