Congratulations to those who received grants in October!  So far this fiscal year, WSU’s AA researchers proposed $25,841,098 in funding, were awarded $52,452,935 and generated $1,600,308 in indirect cost recovery.

You will find a spotlight on Megan White in the announcements section.  Megan is a Research Grant Administrator on the Post-Award team.

A quick reminder that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has now implemented the requirement for the use of SciENcv for key personnel documentation.  The Office of Research recommends that you begin setting up your profile and documentation now so as not to hold up or delay any proposals to NSF.  More information can be found about this requirement in the Training section of the newsletter.

We wish you much success in your research efforts over the next month.

Industry is defined very broadly to include companies (large and small), startups and non-profit organizations. Principal Investigators form a Center around emerging research topics of current research interest, in a pre-competitive space but with clear pathways to applied research and commercial development. Industry partners join at inception, as an existing Center grows or they inspire the creation of a new Center by recruiting university partners to leverage NSF support. Government agencies participate in IUCRCs as Members or by partnering directly with NSF at the strategic level.”
