The WSI is pleased to welcome Steve Durst, editor and publisher of Space Age Publishing Company, for a talk on Thursday, April 21st, at 3pm, in 213 Hubbard Hall. Durst's talk is entitled "Introduction to the Interstellar Community", and will be free and open to the public.
Here is the abstract of Durst's talk:
"The rapid growth of the interstellar age is a 21st-century phenomenon. As Durst chronicles the expansion of interstellar organizations, initiatives and R&D programs, he illustrates the growth of, need and potential for, and direction of knowledge in this area. Durst examines the idea and potential of an Interstellar University in Kansas. With Kansas’ deep well of resources (and official motto), the state is well-suited to help host, support, inspire and direct this interstellar phenomenon, similar to the International Space University in France."
