Asrayram Gopalakrishnan
Hello everyone, I am Asrayram.G, a graduate student of Aerospace Engineering at Wichita State University. I am from Chennai, India. I joined the International Student Union(ISU) in august 2019 and have enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I was welcomed with such warmth. Throughout the year, the ISU became my second family and my home away from home. I am applying for several positions for ISU for the academic year 2020-2021. As the president, I hope to provide a wide outreach of the ISU’s events and services to all new and current international students at Wichita State University. I hope to help improve the experience and happiness of every international student on campus and make their education and life as a college student a memorable one. If I am elected as the vice-president, I hope to assist the president in providing a wide outreach of the ISU’s events and services to all new and current international students at Wichita State University. I hope to help improve the experience and happiness of every international student on campus and make their education and life as a college student a memorable one. If I am elected as the secretary , I hope to oversee all events, developments and projects conducted by the ISU and keep records of all meetings and all the documentation needed to help run an organisation like the ISU.
Dhruv Gawai
I am Dhruv Gawai, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and currently just finished my freshman year. I am from India but lived in the Middle East for most of my life. I was the Vice President of ISU for the year 2019-20 and by that, I do know how to operate and make decisions. For the academic year 2020-21, my plans for ISU are to make ISU more established and well known on the campus for international students by organizing creative events around the campus for the students and faculty.
Kavya Verma
My name is Kavya Verma and I am a Bachelor's student majoring in Computer Science.
This will be my second year at Wichita State University. I have been a member of ISU
for a year now and it has been a great experience for me, organizing and managing
events and all the fun trips we have been to. I plan to explore all the different
positions and work to help the organization grow even more and also help all the
students in one way or the other which is not limited to international students only.
Lei Wang
I am PHD student in applied mathematics! I graduated from WSU last December. I am familiar with statistical software, R SAS and latex. I believe that I have expertise from which ISU may benefit. Moreover, I have several years’ teaching and tutoring experience. My academic background and talents can make me to be a perfect candidate. I would like to contribute my skills to the growth of ISU.
Sakshi Yadav
Hi! I am Sakshi. I am a Sophomore and my major is computers science I am from the central part of the India. I have joined the ISU in my freshman year and really enjoyed with the ISU family. I really liked the events which ISU organizes every semester. As a treasurer, I will manage or oversee the management of the financial affairs, also I will shape the financial budget for any event and try to make it successful.
Sheilja Bhatt
Namaste!! I’m Sheilja Bhatt, a senior in aerospace engineering here at Wichita State University. I am from Gujarat,India. I have been a member of ISU for two years now out of which I served as a president for 1 and half year. I would love to serve as a president for the next year as I planned to implement few things to make a better shocker experience. I want to bring international community more closer and listen to every difficulty faced by an international in this tough times. Over the next semester I plan for more virtual events and discussions, to accommodate the health and safety of our shocker community.
