Director - Events
Position Description:
- Work with university departments and offices in developing an ISU calendar of events, and post all ISU events on the online university calendar.
- Create committees to work on each ISU activity and meet with them on a regular basis.
- Ensure that each committee creates and adheres to an event/activity time-line.
- Oversee the work of each committee ensuring that tasks are being carried out according to scheduled deadlines.
- Report to the ISU President and Advisor(s) progress on each event on a bi-weekly basis.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Sophomore or higher classification at WSU. If Graduate Student, must have completed at least one semester at WSU.
- A minimum of 2.25 GPA (if undergraduate) and 3.00 (if graduate student).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Active experience in a position of responsibility in a WSU student organization.
- Evidence of leadership/management/coordination of a student related campus event.
- Availability to attend weekly ISU meetings on Fridays at 3:00 - 5:00p.m.
