Description of Executive Committee Offices
President
Position Description:
- Schedule and chair meetings of the Executive Committee as well as summon any necessary emergency meetings.
- Oversee the work done by each of the other Executive Committee Officers and their Committees.
- Delegate assignments to each officer and keep track of the tasks being accomplished by each of the other officers.
- Ensure that tasks are being accomplished in a timely manner.
- Give direction and advice to Executive Committee members.
- Take responsibility for tasks needed by organization not assigned to other officers.
- Act as main ISU representative to the University at large.
- Check-in with ISU representative to RSO council and president's group for updates on university operating policies and event updates.
Qualifications:
Required:
- If an international student, F-1 Visa Status with not more than 12 hours of enrollment (if undergraduate) or 9 hours of enrollment (if graduate) .If a domestic student, minimum 6 hours of active enrollment.
- Junior or higher classification at WSU. If Graduate Student, must have completed at least one year at WSU.
- A minimum of 2.5 GPA (if undergraduate) and 3.25 (if graduate student).
- A minimum of one semester of demonstrated active participation in ISU activities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Active experience in a position of responsibility in an organization.
