The Media Resources Center is composed of several different teams with a wide variety of opportunities for student employees to learn new skills, utilize current talents, and gain valuable experiences that can shape future career opportunities and pursuits. We know coursework and classes are your top priorities, so our shifts are flexible and work with your student schedule each semester. Look on your Shocker Central and WuHire portals regularly for position openings (starting at $12/hr).

Academic Accommodations and Accessibility

Academic Accommodations and Accessibility (AAA) converts academic materials into accessible formats with an emphasis on braille and tactile graphics.

Students:

  • Assist by transcribing coursework
  • Prepare documents for brailling

Campus Media Services

Campus Media Services (CMS) supports audiovisual technology in more than 400 classrooms and meeting spaces across WSU campuses. Additionally, our CMS Event Services provides audiovisual technology support for live events such as conferences and meetings, both, on and off campus.

Students:

  • Troubleshoot technology issues in realtime with instructors
  • Assist on installations and classroom maintenance
  • Provide live event support to our AV Event Lead

Video Services

The Video Services (VS) team produces videos for on-campus clients, provides livestreaming and recording services for WSU events, and maintains the digital signage system across campus. Our team is well equipped with a full array of camera gear, production equipment, and editing/graphic software.

Students:

  • Assist with every phase of production
  • Help with video shoots
  • Operate cameras for events
  • Assist with live production
  • Work on video editing

Web Services

The MRC's Web Services team (WS) is dedicated to providing training, support, and development assistance to WSU offices and teams for their webpages; helping teams present their information and services in an efficient, attractive, and professional way.

Students:

  • Assist with online document remediation
  • Work on the Digital Campus Signage Podcast
  • Help with main website upkeep
