Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week
Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week celebrates and raises awareness of aromanticism. It is a great time to examine our relationships more deeply and support those who are aromantic.
Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year is a fifteen-day celebration for people to have family reunions and celebrate the arrival of spring. The holiday begins at the start of the first new moon of the lunar calendar. It is the most important holiday in China, and it is also widely celebrated in South Korea, Vietnam, and other countries across the world.

Severe Weather Preparedness Week
Severe Weather Preparedness Week is intended to encourage residents to review their severe weather safety plans and practice what they would do as if the event was real. The week is designated by a proclamation and it is dependent on each state. It is also held around the second week of March in Kansas.
Ramadan
The holy month of Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic lunar calendar. It is a month of fasting, worship, service, communal gatherings, and spiritual development. The holiday coincides with the sighting of the new crescent moon and generally does not follow a specific date on the Gregorian calendar.

Graduate Student Appreciation Week
Graduate Student Appreciation Week is celebrated the first week of April each year and it is an opportunity to celebrate graduate students at Wichita State and throughout our campus community.
Greek Unity Week
Greek Unity Week is a week-long celebration of Fraternity and Sorority Life on-campus, hosting a variety of events to celebrate each chapter's values, traditions and to build unity in the community.
National Student Employee Appreciation Week
National Student Employee Appreciation Week is held the second week of April and recognizes every student employee who work for their college or university while increasing public awareness of students who work while attending college.
National Volunteer Week
Established in 1974, National Volunteer Week recognizes the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society's greatest challenges and building stronger communities.

Dockum Drug Store Sit-in Anniversary
The 1958 Dockum Drug Store Sit-in was an effort to end segregation in Wichita and the United States. This was one of the first organized lunch counter sit-ins during the Civil Rights Movement that took place from July 19 to August 11 of that year.

Welcomefest
Welcomefest takes place during the first few weeks of the academic year, featuring dozens of activities. Most events are free and gives all students a chance to get acquainted with each other, learn their way around campus, and find ways to connect with the community.

National Pan-Hellenic Council Week
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) hosts a series of events in the fall semester to highlight the mission and purpose of individual organizations and the NPHC. The week features social, educational, and service events, allowing students to connect with members of the council.
SGA Safety Week
Student Government Association hosts a Safety Week that includes programming, events and resources for students focused on safety.

Transgender Awareness Week
Transgender Awareness Week is a week-long recognition dedicated to raising awareness about the transgender community and the challenges our community faces.

Hanukkah
Hanukkah is the Jewish festival of lights and lasts for eight days each November or December.
Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African American and Pan-African culture from December 26 to January 1, which celebrates family, community, and culture.
