Make the Most of Your First Year

Wichita State's First-Year Seminar offers students unique, small classes taught by fantastic faculty and instructors from across the university.

Fall 2020 is going to be exciting at WSU--we have a bunch of new classes, aimed at all kinds of interesting topics for first-year students to select from.  Choose between learning about movie monsters, world cuisine, superheroes, or rock and roll.  If you want to be in a class that follows the 2020 election, as it unfolds, we have a class for you.  Want to learn about climate change? We have two classes for you.  Want to get busy making, building, or taking apart stuff?  We have you covered.  Would you rather get philosophical and tackle issues of community, diversity, and family?  We have that as well.  These courses are taught by faculty and instructors with specific expertise that students usually do not get exposed to until later in their college career.  Take advantage and sign up for a First-Year Seminar course before they fill up!
