Creating a myWSU Password

Your student account on myWSU is where you will access important information regarding your records. If you have already placed a reservation for orientation, use the password you created to access this information. If you have not yet created your password, visit wichita.edu/newstudent for instructions and more information. Your academic advisor will expect you to know your ID number and password to enroll.

Placement Exams

Being placed in the correct math or English class your first semester is important in ensuring you complete your degree on time. If you have not taken the ACT or SAT, or do not have the qualifying* scores to enroll in Math 111 (College Algebra) or English 101, complete the appropriate placement tests prior to your advising appointment. Have your myWSU ID number with you on your testing day.

*You can enroll in College Algebra or English 101 if you have an ACT English or ACT Math score of 20 (not the composite score; the individual English and math score). If you took the SAT, you need a score in math of 490 and an English score of 490 to go directly into College Algebra or English 101.
