A cultural exploration of Asian Art & History

The Saturday, April 4, 2020 sponsored Road Trip will make stops at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station and the Country Club Plaza.

While at the The Nelson-Atkins Museum you may view their regular collection and explore Teachers of Enlightenment, traditions of Tibetan Buddhism,and Living with the Spirits, recreating the look of a traditional Chinese home.

Union Station offers a look into the legend that is Genghis Khanh. In this exhibit, Genghis Khanh: Bringing the Legend to Life, experience life in 13th-century Mongolia. Entering the tents, battlegrounds, and marketplaces of a vanished world. Explore Genghis Khan's life and those of his sons and grandsons during the formation, peak, and decline of the Mongol Empire.

The evening will end at the famous Country Club Plaza for dinner and shopping.

Schedule

8:00 a.m. Registered participants arrive to the Rhatigan Student Center for check-in
8:30 a.m. Chartered bus departs to Kansas City, Missouri
11:30 a.m. Approximate arrival time to the Nelson-Atkins Museum
1:00 p.m. Lunch at Crown Center Mall
2:45 p.m. Head to Union Station
5:00 p.m. Head to Dinner
  Departure will happen at conclusion of Dinner

Registration Fees

WSU student tickets $25, faculty and staff tickets $35, and the general public can purchase tickets for $60.

Registration is non-refundable and must be completed by Wednesday, April 1, 2020
