2nd Year Social

Shocker Sports Grill & LanesDescriptionGet from behind a screen and meet people in person at this social designed specifically for 2nd year students. There will be free bowling, billiards, karaoke, and human bingo. We will have free appetizers, soda, and ice tea for the first 100 people in attendance.
Involvement Fair
Thursday, August 26 | 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
RSC North Patio
The Involvement Fair will connect you with over 150 student organizations, community service partners, and campus resources. Stop by the fair to meet your future friends, expand your professional network, and engaging in serving the Wichita Community.
While at the Involvement Fair, stop by the Student Involvement tent (on the RSC North Patio) to win amazing prizes and pick up your official “Get Involved” t-shirt while supplies last. Prizes include a 50” Smart TV, AirPods Pro, Fire 10 Tablet + Accessories, and a Nintendo Switch!

2nd Year Service Initiatives
Zoobiliee
Saturday, September 11 | 5 - 9 p.m.
Sedgwick County ZooDescriptionJoin your fellow Shockers for an evening of supporting the Sedgwick County Zoo’s annual fundraiser, Zoobilee. Volunteers will support the event by assisting with food vendors and entertainment. Once you are done volunteering, you can stick around and enjoy the event’s food and live entertainment for the remainder of the evening. All volunteers will be given a free t-shirt and admission to the event. For information and a link to sign-up for the event email volunteerICT@wichita.edu. Volunteers will be invited to a post-event meeting and asked to complete a survey about their experience.

Operation Holiday

You are invited to the Mini-Wellness Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the North Lawn of the Rhatigan Student Center. Learn about all of the WSU on-campus health resources available to you! Receive information, lots of free things, and enter into a drawing for a fabulous prize!
Academic Convocation

Academic Convocation is an exciting event that blends our Common Read program with other student learning and engagement opportunities. Faculty awards will be recognized and the event will feature a student speaker and a keynote address.
