SGA Supreme Court rules on Senate Reapportionment Act

Wichita, Kansas – With a unanimous vote of the SGA Supreme Court, a decision has been reached regarding Case no. 66-010, The Illegality of the Senate Reapportionment Act.

The Court denies the request to declare the Senate Reapportionment Act illegal as it does not contraven the Constitutional provisions outlined in Article IX of the Constitution. Lastly, the Court hereby lifts the injunction on the certification of the Special Election and authorizes the Elections Commission to move forward with certification.
