The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) offers a variety of program scholarships, fellowships, and graduate assistantships. There are also university, college level, federal and external applications (outside WSU) available to eligible students.

To apply for these opportunities:

  1. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is optional, but must be completed in order for you to be eligible for need-based awards. Please note: 83% of CHP awards are need-based; you will not be eligible for these scholarships without a FAFSA.
  2. Go to the College of Health Professions (CHP) Scholarships webpage and complete the ScholarshipUniverse application.
  3. Other resources are listed toward the bottom of this webpage.
  4. If you are interested in applying for CSD Graduate Assistantship (GA) positions, please complete and submit this online form:

Students applying for CSD departmental funds and graduate assistantship positions must be currently enrolled in the professional phase of their program. New applicants to CSD programs are also eligible to apply for funds.

Responsibilities include providing direct or assisting instruction, assisting faculty members in their scholarly and/or creative activities, or assisting in non-teaching and non-research activities. Policies governing assistantship positions are defined in the WSU Policies and Procedures manual - 8.04 Graduate Assistantships. Current and prospective CSD graduate students may apply for assistantship positions within our department using the online application form above.
