Chapter 5 is dedicated to employee policies related to time, pay and leave issues. The Time, Pay, and Leave policies in Chapter 5 apply to all University employees except where: (1) it is specifically noted in the policy; (2) the policy provision is otherwise expressly specified by the University’s Memorandum of Agreement(s); or (3) where another University Policy is in conflict and is intended to apply to a specific category or type of employee. For example, if there is a University Policy provision in Chapter 4 that conflicts with a University Policy provision in this Chapter 5, the Chapter 4 policy provision will govern.
The Time, Pay, and Leave policies in Chapter 5 do not apply to employees employed by a University affiliated corporation unless expressly noted in the policy.
For purposes of this policy 5.01, the term “University Policy” shall mean only those policies that are adopted and published in the policy section of the main WSU website.
